Hannah and Kristian's wonderful March
wedding - Full post
On Saturday 23rd March, Alan
and I had the absolute pleasure of
photographing the wedding of Hannah and Kristian. We knew it was going to be a
special day, and it certainly was, even
though it was a bit cold! The day started
for me at The Greenhouse Hotel in
Bournemouth, where Hannah and her three
bridemaids busied themselves getting ready.
It was a calm and welcoming with an air of
excitement too!
Alan met up with Kristian at his home in
Verwood, shirts were ironed, cravats tied
all before Kristian left in his beloved
Porsche en route to St John's church in
Holdenhurst Village for the ceremony. It was
a lovely ceremony, one filled with love and
great stories from the vicar too. One to
remember that's for sure! ......... SEE MORE |

Rhinefield House alive.
I started the day with
Anna and her bridesmaids and Alan with Dan
and the boys, it was a lovely relaxed

Easter weekend engagement shoot for Lucy and
David
Yesterday we braced
the cold breeze to photograph Lucy and David
at Knoll Beach, it was bitterly cold, but
the sun did try and peek from behind the
clouds for us as we took their photos. They
bought along with them, their new addition
the family, the cutest puppy ever Jet, who
at 8 weeks old got a lot of attention from
the others on the beach.
It was lovely seeing Lucy and David again
and we look forward to their wedding in the
summer, when hopefully it will be a bit
warmer! Here are a few of our favourites

Becca and Pete's perfect winter wedding at
Compton Acres
A day before their wedding, Becca and Pete
and the rest of the south coast woke up to
snow, this is unusual and made the area look
even more stunning as a backdrop for Becca's
bouquet in the garden.
The morning was a hive of activity as the
girls got ready. I loved Becca's
stunning Suzanne Neville lace gown, it was
perfect for her. She was accompanied
by some gorgeous girls in their knee length
Mint Velvet lace topped dresses, they made
an awesome sight.
Pete and his boys started the day at Pete's
parents' house where the celebrations began
with some max strength Rum, well something
had to keep the cold at bay!
Pete was emotional during the ceremony,
bless him as the couple ties the knot to be

Pat and Andy's Wedding was bathed in Autumn
colours
Pat and Andy chose to hold their ceremony at
Moorhill House Hotel; it is a village
hideaway in the bewitching village of
Burley. The hotel is hidden at the end of a
long driveway and nestled in the woods of
this enchanting New Forest haven. This
hideaway hotel is set in its own beautifully
landscaped gardens and boasts a peaceful and
tranquil atmosphere and it was perfect for
this couple's intimate wedding.
The Autumn colours were beautiful and Pat's
stunning gown picked these up perfectly as
the ceremony room, filled with sunlight.

Howard and Lizzie's Wedding went with a
swing!
We had a great time at Howard and Lizzy's
wedding and so did all of their guests! It
was a brilliantly sunny October morning, and
as I made my way to meet up with Lizzy, I
knew this was doing to be a great wedding!
Howard and Lizzy met whilst in the Sixth
Form, which I think is really cute, it is
clear to see that they are made for each
other!
The morning for me was spent with the girls,
overlooking Poole Quay, it was a relaxed
morning, but the air of excitement was clear
to see. Lizzy was accompanied by her Mum,
her Aunt, her sisters, her best friend and
two of the cutest girls ever. They all made
me feel very welcome as they dressed for the
big day. Lizzy's dress was beautiful and
could not have been more suited to her. She
made a stunning bride!

I met up with Danni at her Mum's home in

All was calm and relaxed for us both as both
families made us feel very welcome indeed.
Danni looked radiant in her Maggie Soterro

she could not have been better supported!
Brett looked handsome too and it was with

seemed.
There was a flurry of activity from the
moment I arrived at the family home, with
all things ‘homemade’ it wasn’t surprising.

Caroline and Mark's Hawaiian themed wedding
Caroline and Mark are now married! It was a
great day, Alan and I were very lucky to be
part of their celebrations! The day started
for me at Caroline’s parents' house where
Caroline, her sisters Becky and Michelle and
niece and nephew Molly and Max were getting
ready. All was calm and relaxed as
Caroline’s parents watched their beautiful
daughter transform into stunning bride
wearing a gown and matching veil from
designer Enzoani. It really was the perfect
dress for her.
Alan met up with Mark, best man Alex and his
ushers Simon and Nathan at Immanuel Church,
Southbourne where the ceremony was to take
place. We really were spoilt with some of
the boys in full dress military uniforms;
these always look great in photos!

Natasha & Matt's Wedding at The Green House
Hotel in Bournemouth
Natasha and Matt got married on Saturday at
The Green House Hotel in Bournemouth. It was
a lovely day for a lovely couple in a lovely
venue. The award winning Green House Hotel
is a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart
of Bournemouth that lives and breathes
sustainability. The hotel opened in April
2010 to rave reviews and in November 2010
was named ‘Small Hotel of the Year’ at the
Bournemouth Tourism Awards. Alan and I were
lucky to be there to share in the
celebrations and to photograph the

Liz and Alan's wedding on a fabulous Spring
day
Yesterday Alan and I had an AMAZING time
photographing the wedding of Liz and Alan.
Liz and Alan asked us to photograph their
wedding after seeing the photographs we took
at Chloe and Andy's wedding in 2010 where
Alan was Andy's Best Man and referrals like
that are wonderful to receive. It
meant a trip to Bristol for us that was a
bit different, but very lovely nonetheless!
The happy couple had chosen to get married
at their Parish church, St Michael's in
Stoke Giffiord before heading to the
magnificent Tracy Park for their reception,
it was a beautiful day for two beautiful
people. Surrounded by their friends
and family the wedding took place and we
were there to capture it for them!........SEE

A Sandbanks engagement shoot for Jill and
Allen
This time it is the turn of Jill and Allen
to have their engagement photos online. They
chose the wonderful Sandbanks beach for the
shoot as both of them have a love for all
things Bournemouth and although it was a bit
blowy at times, I think we managed to get
some lovely relaxed portraits of this lovely
couple.
Jill and Allen get married in May and have
chosen to hold their ceremony at the De Vere
Suite at The Royal Bath Hotel. This should
make for a very special ceremony in the
grand setting before going out on the lawns
for the celebrations.
Alan and I would like to thank Jill and
Allen for their company yesterday, it was
lovely getting to see you both again. We
hope you like the photos and look forward to
hearing from you soon

Fiona and Ashley's engagement photo shoot on
Sandbanks Beach
It was a busy day for us yesterday with not
one, but two engagement shoots, but it was a
great one too! Alan and I really enjoy the
engagement shoot as it means we get to know
the happy couple that bit better before the
big day, it also helps the bride and groom
to be to feel a bit more relaxed about
having their photos taken! Plus the added
bonus is, they get to get some great photos
of themselvestoo.
We met Fiona and Ashley yesterday morning at
Sandbanks and in between trying to escape
from the blusters of a Spring day on the
beach, we managed to take some wonderful
photos of this lovely couple. Fiona and
Ashley are getting married in April at St
James' Church in the old town at Poole.
Their reception will be held at the stunning
Compton Acres. It should be a wonderful day
and we are very much looking forward to
being a part of it

Nikki and Mike's Wedding Day
It’s a fact, I LOVE WEDDINGS and none more so
than the wedding we photographed yesterday
for Nikki and Mike. You couldn’t find a more
lovely couple and it was a pleasure being a
part of their special day. Nikki and Mark
were in the same class at school, but it
wasn’t until 7 years ago that the romance
blossomed that culminated in their wonderful
winter wedding.
Nikki really did look amazing in a beautiful
lace gown and lace bolero from
'Forget-Me-Not' designs on the Isle of
Wight. It was the perfect dress for her and
it was well worth all the trips to the
island to get it made. On her wedding day,
Nikki was accompanied by her two great
friends, Jo and Becky and the cute little
flower girl Ella

A Christmas wedding for Helen and Miles
at New Place Manor
On Saturday, Alan and I had the pleasure of
photographing the wedding of Helen and Miles
at the wonderful New Place Manor in Shirrell
Heath, just outside Southampton. The crisp
winter weather really added to the Christmas
theme of this wedding and a special visit
from Father Christmas during the wedding
breakfast certainly delighted the many
children who were invited to share their
wonderful wedding day.
The celebrations began for me, at New Place
where Helen and her bridal party were
getting ready. Helen’s dress by Hollywood
Dreams was magnificent and this was
complimented perfectly by her choice of
bridesmaid dresses in red chiffon with cream
sashes from Dessy Designs.......

On Sunday, Zoe and Mark got married and they
chose to do it at the stylish Italian Villa
at Compton Acres. Zoe from Poole knew the
area well and Mark from Hertfordshire has
fond memories of the area from childhood
holidays to the Bournemouth area. I must
admit, it one of my favourite venues too!
Alan and I met Mark and his best man Martin
at the venue, and after a quick bit of
assistance from Alan with Martin’s cravat,
it was off into the gardens for some shots
before the registrars arrived. Soon the
guests were seated and it was time for Zoe
to arrive in a stunning silver Bentley, she

degrees in October? Not me that's for
sure and neither did Samantha or Devlin
I suppose when they booked their wedding

complained - the weather was glorious as
was their wedding!
I met up with Samantha and two of her
bridesmaids in Synergy in Blandford

smiles, champagne and croissants, it was
a very civilised start to the day

starting, Lynne and Kerry from Beautiful
Brides were starting Jennie's transformation
from beautiful girl to stunning bride. I
quickly got to work photographing all of
Jennie's bit and pieces including her
gorgeous wedding dress, the Dublin design by
Ronald Joyce. Jennie works as a flight
attendant and had spotted her dress on a
recent trip to New York ordering it on her
return to the UK. I can quite see why she
fell in love with it too, it was certainly a
show stopper. Soon Jennie was dressed and

James and Katherine's Wedding at Sherborne
Abbey
Founded by St. Aldhelm in AD 705, the Abbey
has developed from Saxon cathedral to the
worshipping heart of a monastic community,
and finally, to one of the most beautiful of
England's parish churches. For many it is
still the 'cathedral of Dorset', and our
Benedictine heritage lives on in the daily
offering of prayer and praise.
Here are a selection of photos from the
wedding of Katherine and James which Alan
and I had the pleasure of photographing on
Saturday. The ceremony was held at the
historic and stunning Sherborne Abbey with
their reception being held at Sherborne Boys
School of which James is a past pupil. This
venue was equally historic with very notable
alumni........

Joanna and Craig at Rhinefield House
The wedding of Joanna and Craig at the
beautiful Rhinefield House. Donna arrived
just as the bridal preparations started,
first hair and then make up. It wasn't long
before Joanna, her sister Libby and her mum
all started to look gorgeous before a quick
change of venue to Rhinefield's magnificent
Walker Suite for the all important dressing
stage. Joanna's Soterro and Midley dress in
pale cream chiffon was stunning, it was
complemented perfectly with Libby's silver
Karen Millen bridesmaid dress and Claudia
and Isabella's perfectly sweet cream tulle
flower girl dresses all topped off with
Valentine's weekend perfect deep red rose
bouquets........
